ÖzÜ WISE (Work, Inclusion, and Social Equity) Research Center, based at Özyeğin University, is accepting
applications for a full-time postdoctoral researcher position.
ÖzÜ WISE is an interdisciplinary research center focusing on the transformation of working life, gender and social
inequality, care work and family policies, organizational inclusion, and evidence-based approaches to social equity.
The Center brings together researchers from business, economics, psychology, sociology, anthropology, history, law,
public policy, and related fields to conduct academically rigorous research with relevance for policy and society.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop an independent research agenda aligned with the
Center’s themes while contributing to ongoing WISE research projects. Applications are particularly encouraged from
candidates who combine strong empirical skills with research interests in working life, organizations, gender, care,
inclusion, inequality, or social policy.
Research topics at WISE include, but are not limited to:
- Gender and labor markets
- Care work and mental load
- Leadership, organizations, and workplace culture
- Parental leave and family policies
- Workplace discrimination and harassment
- Migration and gender

The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Develop a research project, either in collaboration with faculty members at the Center or independently, and submit an application to TÜBİTAK 1001 or an equivalent research funding program within the first year;
- Collaborate with faculty members at the Center on various research projects;
- Contribute to the design and implementation of research at the Center;
- Support data cleaning, data management, and reproducible research processes;
- Contribute to the preparation of academic papers, policy reports, presentations, and research funding applications;
- Play an active role in the Center’s administrative functions and in coordinating its seminars, workshops, and other academic activities.
Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications:
- A completed or nearly completed PhD in economics, business, public policy, political science, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field;
- Strong quantitative research and empirical analysis skills, with proficiency in statistical and econometric methods;
- Advanced proficiency in at least one of STATA, R, or Python (experience in more than one programming language is preferred);
- Strong academic writing and communication skills in English;
- The ability to work collaboratively with researchers from different disciplines.

The position is based at Özyeğin University, and the postdoctoral researcher will work primarily under the supervision of the Center Director, Dr. Gözde Çörekçioğlu İshakoğlu.
